At TAB Professional Services, we are proud to continue our annual tribute to Alvaro Avila, Sr. (1925-2024) by making a meaningful donation in his name. This year, we are honored to contribute $200 to the Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation (LADF) Wildfire Relief Efforts, an initiative that provides critical aid to communities affected by devastating wildfires.

A Dodgers Fan for Life

Alvaro Avila, Sr. was more than a devoted husband, father, and grandfather—he was a lifelong Los Angeles Dodgers fan. Baseball was more than just a sport to him; it was a source of joy, connection, and resilience. His love for the Dodgers reflected the same unwavering spirit he carried throughout his life.

His connection to wildfire relief efforts is personal. Alvaro’s home in Santa Barbara narrowly escaped destruction from wildfires that have increasingly threatened California communities. Thankfully, his home was spared, but the experience reinforced the reality of how quickly lives can be upended by natural disasters. In his honor, we are supporting LADF’s Wildfire Relief Efforts, which provide essential resources such as food, supplies, and financial assistance to families impacted by wildfires.

Continuing a Legacy of Giving

Last year, TAB Professional Services launched this annual initiative by donating in Alvaro’s name to the Family Service Agency (FSA) of Santa Barbara County, supporting senior isolation and elder abuse prevention. We also contributed to cancer awareness efforts, recognizing the importance of early detection and proactive health care.

This year, we extend our commitment by supporting LADF’s Wildfire Relief Efforts, which provide critical funding to organizations such as Baby2Baby and the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank, ensuring that vulnerable communities receive the assistance they need in times of crisis.
