Federal Awards

$1.8M, U.S. Department of Education, Title III Strengthening Institutions, 2024. Community college in Ohio. Grant writer, as a subcontractor to a grants consulting firm.

$5M, U.S. Department of Labor, workforce infrastructure program, October 2023. State workforce agency in Ohio, lead applicant. Prepared the budget, budget justification, and staffing plan as a subcontractor to a grants consulting firm.

$2,957,495, U.S. Department of Education, Title V, October 2020 to September 2025. Allan Hancock College. Proposal writer support as an employee.

$2.3M, U.S. Department of Education, Title V, 2017. Allan Hancock College. Post-award management support as an employee.

Foundation and Corporate Awards

Senior services nonprofit in California, 2023 to 2024.

Thirteen awards totaling $166,600, written through TAB Professional Services. Funders include the Henry Mayo Newhall Foundation, the Edwin and Jeanne Woods Family Foundation, the Mark and Dorothy Smith Foundation, the Dr. Hildegard H. Balin Charitable Foundation, the Santa Barbara Foundation, the Chumash Foundation, the Montecito Bank and Trust Foundation, the Altrusa Foundation, Albertsons, 4Imprint, and the Santa Barbara County Arts Commission. Two funders renewed. The Newhall and Woods foundations each funded the organization in both 2023 and 2024.

Three awards totaling $66,000, written through TAB Professional Services. Funders include the City of Austin Elevate program for capacity building and staff training ($40,000), the Austin Arts Education Relief grant ($25,000), and H-E-B gift cards ($1,000).

Recent Proposal Work, 2025 and 2026

July 2026. Independent contractor for a grants consulting firm. Drafted a competitive preference priority section and completed a quality assurance review for a Promise Neighborhoods application to the U.S. Department of Education.

June 2026. Grant writer consultant for a grants consulting firm. Completed a pre-submission review of a Title III Strengthening Institutions proposal for a university in California.

June 2026. Grant writer consultant for an education company. Wrote an Innovative Approaches to Literacy application to the U.S. Department of Education for a school district in Kentucky.

  1. Employee at Unitek Learning. Grant writer for hospital workforce development grants. Led the migration to the Instrumentl grants platform.
